You’ve Found The Perfect Home … Now What?

You’ve found the perfect home … now what?
Let’s just say you and I have been looking around Androscoggin County, and you’ve found the perfect home for your family. We’ve negotiated a price, and the sellers have agreed to your offer. Now what? You need to find the perfect lender!

I can refer you to a few local mortgage companies and banks that are reputable and easy to work with. I recommend that you do a little comparison shopping first. You want to work with someone you can trust. To help you out during this process, I will receive periodic updates from whichever firm you select. I want to make sure details will be done in a timely manner, to prevent any last-minute challenges that could postpone your closing date. I look forward to guiding you through this process! Maine Home Buyers & Sellers ~ Negotiating Factors

Negotiations for the sale of your home can be affected by emotional factors. For example, it is easy to be offended by someone who is making an offer on your property. Even if the buyers love your house, they are trying to negotiate the best possible price and terms. They probably will not let you know how much they want your home until they have negotiated a purchase agreement.

Buyers almost never write offers that please the sellers entirely. Offers and counter offers may be traded back and forth over days or weeks. Terms of the sale will be discussed and deadlines will be set. When there is finally a meeting of the minds, both sides may feel relieved but exhausted by the process. As your real estate agent, my most important job is to act as the intermediary during such negotiations. With my knowledge of today’s home market, current financing, excellent negotiation skills, and up-to-date knowledge of Maine’s tax laws affecting real estate sales, I can help you come up with creative solutions to the challenges that may arise.
